President’s Message
Welcome to this year’s first edition of Web Eagle! Here are a few highlights from 2013 and our future plans.
You submitted about 2,960 applications for coverage during 2013, with about $6.8 million of annual premium in those applications.The premium represented about an 11% increase from what was submitted last year. At least half of the premium came from our flagship, tax qualified LTC products,
LifeStyle Solutions and LifeStyle Solutions Select
(together “LSS/S”). Through November 2013, total A&H
premium written rose to $27.4 million, an increase of
about 1% from the same period last year. Admitted assets
through November grew to $147.8 million, an increase of
about 3%, and our surplus increased by about 7% over last
year.
Rather than additional acquisitions, this year we focused
on expanding the markets in which our LTC products are
available for sale.
We expanded the states in which you can sell our LSS/S LTC
products from 14 to 18, adding Georgia, Indiana,
Louisiana, and North Carolina. We began to expand the
availability of our affordable home care products, Golden
Advantage and Short Term Golden Advantage, by filing them
in 6 more states and obtaining approvals thus far in
Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, and Louisiana. We now have home
care products available for sale in 19 states with more to
follow. This year also brought a new and improved agent
web site to better assist you in representing our company
and its products. Our producer incentive contest,
Pearls for Performance, provided many
of our agents the opportunity to qualify for attractive
awards.
Finally, this year, we attended several national sales
conferences in order to present new ways to help you and
your clients.
What’s in store for 2014?
We will continue to work to expand the availability of our
LSS/S LTC products as well as our Golden Advantage and
Short Term Golden Advantage, other LTC, and whole life
products. We are working hard on these pending filings in
Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, and
Washington, and we are pleased to announce that South
Carolina is our first new LSS/S approval in 2014, along
with the recent approvals of Golden Advantage in Louisiana
and Short Term Golden Advantage in North Carolina.
We will once again participate as a corporate sponsor of
the National MS Society “Walk MS” in our home office area
and the Indian Creek Valley Foundation “Roll & Stroll” in
Souderton this spring. In addition, we will also
participate in the holiday U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys
for Tots Program, and in other local, charitable
endeavors.
In closing, we are continuing to focus on providing you
and your clients with quality senior health and life
products at fair and reasonable rates, supported by the
best home office staff in our region! I look forward to
our continued work together.

To reflect the launch of our new insurance plans in South Carolina, we’ve updated our quoting software. The newest version of our software, “USA IS 2.14”, can easily be downloaded from our website.* If you are not able to download the quoting software from ourwebsite, then you should call our Marketing Team at 800-872-3044 for help or to have an illustration done for
you.

Toys for Tots
We want to give a big “THANK YOU!” to our entire USA home office staff, their families and friends for the many toys that were donated to the Toys for Tots organization. In our third year as corporate sponsor and official drop-off site, we were proud to
assist the US Marine Corps in their mission to bring joy to a child’s Christmas.
