United American Fundamental Life Series I and II Nonforfeiture Changes

In 2013, United American was required by law to implement new cash value
schedules for life insurance policies by the end of the year.  The change
was due to a prescribed regulatory decrease in the maximum nonforfeiture
interest rate.  This requirement only applies to policies issued 2014 and
after; policies in force on or before Dec. 31, 2013, are not affected by
this change.

United American is in the process of developing new life products to be
introduced later this year that will be in compliance with the law.  In the
interim, effective immediately, United American will cease sales of all
Fundamental Life Series I (MLAP) products and Fundamental Life Series II
Whole Life (SWL).  Fundamental Life Series II Term Products (UL10-20) are
not affected by this change.
