Your long term care business remains our top priority and we thank you for all your recent business that has been submitted. Due to the unprecedented number of applications sent in and the transition from our old LTC product to the new LTC product, time service has been affected. Be assured we are implementing measures to reduce these delays.

Cases are being reviewed by underwriting in date order based on the
date the final underwriting requirement is received. The current turn around time is 7-10 business days once all underwriting requirements are received. More efficient processes have been implemented, such as overtime work and APS Summaries for underwriters.

Please continue to utilize the Case Monitoring report found on SPA for underwriting questions or updates you may be looking for. Phone calls and emails made to underwriters interrupt time and focus working on cases. Your assistance in reducing these contacts will reduce delays in underwriting.
