LTC II with Shareability Option: International Coverage Benefit
Among the exciting enhancements to LifeSecure’s new LTC II with Shareability Option is our International Coverage Benefit. The International Coverage Benefit will be a standard feature for our
new LTC II product, which will be released in 40 states on Monday, February 3.
Here’s how it works:
If a policyholder requires care or services while outside the United States, Canada or their territories or possessions, he or she will be eligible for up to 365 days of benefits in an international location over the life of the policy.
The International Coverage Benefit is paid on an indemnity basis in US dollars, regardless of actual
expenses, as follows:
100% of the Monthly Benefit for care provided in a
qualified facility; or
50% of the Monthly Benefit for care provided in a
home or a community based setting.
If a policyholder exhausts the International Coverage Benefit, the policy will still continue in force, providing there are funds remaining in the Benefit Bank.
