Important update on our Individual LTC insurance product portfolio

This is to inform you of an important update on our individual
long-term care (LTC) insurance product portfolio. John Hancock has
recently completed another comprehensive claims study, which we
conduct every three years and which examines the usage trends for our
insured population. Like many carriers in this business, we have seen
increased claims; therefore, there is more experience data available
to predict future benefit usage by policyholders. As compared to our
previous analysis, the new data shows that policyholders are living
longer, their claims are lasting longer, and more people are claiming
at the older ages. Based on that data, we have determined that there
is a need to increase premiums on certain policy series.

Support associates
role now available in LTC Captivate

LTC Captivate offers two support associates roles for new
business coordinators and assistants to support producers through the
LTC sales process: licensed support associates and non-licensed
support associates.  Licensed support associates will be required to
pass licensing validation and can be allowed view-edit access to cases
at the producer’s discretion, and non-licensed support associates will
be allowed view-only access to cases.
