GTL: Important Update: GTL’s Cancer Products Changes

Important Updates to the CHS Protection Plus Product:

Effective immediately, GTL has revised the Underwriting
Guidelines when issuing all GTL cancer policies, including
GTL’s CHS Protection Plus and Supplemental Solutions
Plans. The following changes will be implemented effective
immediately:

• Applicants must meet GTL’s height/weight criteria in order to apply.

• For face amounts of $50,000 or more, GTL will conduct a phone interview to verify the answers submitted on the application.  For the CHS Protection Plus Plan only: 

  · The Heart Attack and Stroke Rider is discontinued. Please use the stand alone Heart Attack and Stroke Policy rate sheet to calculate rates.

· If an applicant has previously had cancer, heart attack or stroke as asked on the application, the ICU, Wellness and/or ROP Riders are not available.

·        Any applicant that is currently being treated for cancer (even
with medications) or has had cancer within the last 5
years may only apply for up to $20,000 of Heart Attack and
Stroke coverage.
