Ensure your advertising is compliant

The state of Iowa recently released a bulletin regarding the use of misleading advertising. While the bulletin is intended for Iowa producers, there are many points
worth considering, including the mention of:

· Uncapped rates of return – without providing adequate context, this has the potential to contribute to inflated consumer expectations

· Specific rollup rates for riders – clients must also be made aware of restrictions imposed by the rider

Reminder – Fixed-indexed annuity rate decreases effective November 21

Please remember, due to the recent decline in 10-year treasury rates and
steadily rising volatility rates, the following changes are effective
November 21, 2014.

Fixed interest rates and caps are decreasing for the American Legend
III and Safe Outlook.

Rates will be determined by the date money is received, regardless of the
order ticket date. Funds must be received by Thursday, November 20 in order
to receive the previous rates.
