Now is the time to take action and let your voice be heard
As many of you are aware, the Department of Labor (DOL) has proposed a regulation that redefines and extends the fiduciary duty standard to persons who provide investment advice to Individual
Retirement Account (IRA) owners and to Employee Retirement Income
Security Act (ERISA) retirement plans.
Now you can take action and let your voice be heard by going to The American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) website, where they have launched a tool making it
easy for financial professionals like yourself to submit comments to members of Congress telling them that fixing the DOL’s fiduciary rule is imperative. Finally, you will find the comment letter Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz) recently submitted to the DOL.

Can the legendary Babe Ruth help you recommend a strategy for
your clients’ FIA allocation lineup?
Babe Ruth’s transformation from a steady hitter to an all-or-nothing batter is one way to think about the risk/reward trade-off found in fixed index
annuity (FIA) index crediting strategies. In an FIA, “Babe-like” performance is not assured; different results may arise from different index crediting
strategies.
