We are proud to announce the average time to issue a life policy from the time a complete life application is received is currently under 3 days. If your life policies are taking longer than that to issue, it may be because something is missing. Below are the top 6 reasons a policy is not able to be issued within the normal processing time.

 

  1. Phone Interview – Completing the phone interview at the time the application is taken will help speed the processing and underwriting time on an application. Phone interviews can be completed at the time of sale by calling Apptical at 800-737-6972. 
  2. Social Security Number – The Social Security number is required before an application can be forwarded to underwriting. This should be completed on page 1 of the application.  
  3. Beneficiary Information – A Primary Beneficiary is required before an application can be forwarded to underwriting. This should be completed on page 1 of the application.  
  4. Premium and Face Amount – Both the Face Amount applied for and the calculated premium quoted to the proposed insured are required to process the application. This should be completed on page 2 of the application.  
  5. Replacement – The Replacement Section 10 of the application is required for underwriting. This section is on page 2 of the application. If a life or annuity policy are being replaced, the Replacement Form is also required.  
  6. HIPAA – The HIPAA form with the proposed insured’s name is required for an application to be processed and underwritten.
